How It Works

From radar to real connection in 3 simple steps

No vanity followers, no endless chats or algorithms. Discover, connect, and enjoy authentic moments.

1. Look around you

Open the map to discover spontaneous micro-meetups created by other travelers and locals nearby.

2. Join naturally

Send a quick request with a friendly intro note to join small curated groups of 2 to 6 people.

3. Live the moment and be free

Meet up in the real world. When it concludes, chats, coordinates, and traces vanish automatically forever.

Transparency & Data Safety

Application Purpose & Data Transparency

halo is built upon Privacy by Design and Zero-Trust principles. Here is why the application exists and how your data is protected at all times.

Application Purpose

A safe space for real connections

halo is a platform designed for solo travelers and urban explorers. It enables users to organize and join spontaneous real-world micro-meetups (co-working, walks, sports, conversations) in intimate groups (2-6 people). Physical privacy is safeguarded through Spatial Cloaking, showing only an approximate area (~300m) publicly.

Google OAuth Authentication

Why We Use Google Sign-In

We use Google authentication strictly to verify that every participant is a real human, protecting the community from bots, fake profiles, and spam. From your Google account, we access only your unique user ID (UID), email, name, and profile photo. We NEVER request invasive permissions for Google Drive, contacts, or calendar.

Google Limited Use & Privacy

Zero Data Selling & Ephemeral Memory

halo strictly complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use requirements). Personal data is NEVER sold, transferred to third parties, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Coordinates and chats are automatically purged from servers after the event concludes.
